In 28 October 1992, the Immaculate Conception Cathedral underwent significant renovations, blessing the faithful with a renewed sanctuary. This event coincided with the consecration of the new altar, presided over by the esteemed Jaime Cardinal Sin. The old altar, a relic of the cathedral's storied past, was also blessed on the same day.
